Break into a turn-based deckbuilder where turns aren't guaranteed. Race forward on the offensive to act before the enemy, Breaking their skills and Interrupting their turn.

Bringing the element of speed to the card battler, cards come with a Cast Time instead of an energy cost. After choosing cards to play, their combined Cast Time dictates how long it'll take to cast and unleash their effects. Timing attacks to hit enemies as they're casting will Break the skill they were about to use, removing it from their turn. Breaking all of an enemy's queued skills Interrupts them, skipping their turn entirely. Keep the momentum going by constantly Interrupting enemies, softening them up for a swift victory!

Story:
A portal has opened up and the world is under threat from the Board Master, a fiend who is determined to conquer the world by turning it into a board game. The Fuzz Force mobilises the Cardterrupters, an elite squad who battle using their cards and swiftness, to venture to the heart of the Board and put an end to this villain's schemes.
Leading the charge is Dina the Dragon, a somewhat brash agent whose skills focus on her fiery dragon breath. Following behind is Marshall the Magpie, a stealthy kleptomaniac who is tired of his habit.

History:
Cardterrupters is being developed by Alan Igle, after the release of his first commercial game Fuzz Force: Spook Squad. Building upon the lessons learned from the first game, Cardterrupters aims to build upon where Spook Squad was weak whilst adding a bunch of new ideas to the mix. Set in the same world as Fuzz Force: Spook Squad, a new division of the Fuzz Force is tasked with saving the world.
The Cardterrupters battle system is inspired by the Grandia series, and recently Child of Light, which is a dynamic real time/turn based hybrid. A system where it's possible to cancel the enemy turns, an amazing concept but unfortunately not utilised much in the games they're in. Cardterrupters merges that system with roguelike mechanics, where cancelling an enemy's turn is not only fun, but key to surviving battles and succeeding runs.

Features:
-A deckbuilder with speed. Consider your cards' casting time, as well as how close the enemies are to attacking, whilst deciding your next step.
-A turn-based game where enemy turns can be shortened and cancelled entirely through clever aggressive play.
-Each Cardterrupter has their own focus in battle, bringing unique cards and charms to build powerful deck synergies.
-Navigate 3D levels instead of choosing nodes from a 2D flowchart, but watch out for traps.
-Each area has unique foes to battle and can be encountered in any order during a run, perfect for repeat playthroughs.
-An upbeat and energetic soundtrack to shuffle your hands whilst you shuffle your deck
