It seems like we can access just about anything these days at the click of a button on our computer. From car parts and legal advice to doctor’s appointments and dinner, we really do have it pretty easy. Mattress shopping has changed tremendously through online advancements. No more driving from place to place to examine your options and listen to endless sales pitches that may or may not be transparent.

Skipping the sales pitch is nice, but this means you need to do the work by researching the products you’re considering to purchase. Casper recently provided me with their queen-sized Casper mattress, and I’ve spent the past week thoroughly reviewing how it works and determining what it could offer you.

Great for Those Who Sleep Hot

Do you ever wake up sweating and feel that it is just too hot? This seemingly minor inconvenience is actually quite disruptive. Your body temperature needs to drop slightly to fully take advantage of the deepest, most restorative stages of sleep.

We took a look at how quickly the Casper mattress cooled down after lying on it for 30 minutes in a temperature-controlled environment, and the results were impressive. It cooled down a full minute faster than the average mattress I’ve tested despite the fact that it does include a memory foam layer. Casper incorporates a few different methods to help their product cool including:

Thin, breathable cover
Open cell comfort foam above memory foam layer
Memory foam layer that leverages airflow to pull heat out of the top layer
