This universe of ours is very vast and we have been sending many missions to different planets for many decades. Many of us consider the moon landing to be the greatest of all time when it comes to a momentous achievement, the year 1969 marked the first time humans took their first steps on the moon. It was technically impossible. Nevertheless this work was made possible. But since then there have been many incredible engineering feats in the history of space exploration, including feats that have taken us to other worlds (planets). And that includes the farthest reaches of the Solar System and beyond. Unfortunately, such great feats by scientists have failed to achieve the same level of impact on the general public as the landing of humans on the Moon.
Friends, in today's video, we will learn about one such great achievement which created a stir in the field of astronomy, so let's start today's video.
Cassini–Huygens Space Probe, 1997 –
Friends, by the 1970s, scientists had sent their missions to almost all the Inner Planets of our Solar System, Mercury, Venus and Mars, and scientists had gathered a lot of information about these planets, but by that time the outer planets of our Solar System And we had very little information about its Moon.
In such a situation, scientists started working on a mission that would carry out the flyby of the outer planets of our solar system and collect all the necessary information about it. And since then scientists started launching missions like Pioneer (Pioneer) and Voyager. All these missions became an example in the field of our space exploration. The probos sent during these missions carried out the first flyby of many outer planets of our solar system, so that we came to know a lot of new information about those planets.
The probos of missions such as Pioneer and Voyager carried out the first flybys of Saturn in the 1980s. And during this flyby, we came to know many important information about Saturn's atmosphere, surface and its largest moon Titan.
When the probos of Pioneer, Pioneer and Voyager missions carried out the flyby of Saturn, we saw a mini Solar System in this Planetary System. From these probos, we came to know many unique and mysterious information about the planet Saturn and its moon Titan. But due to this mission being Flyby Missions, we got very little time to study this planet and its moon. And on this, scientists believed that if we send a separate orbiter mission to these planets, then we can study it closely for many years and uncover its innumerable secrets.
