Casting Spells In A Fast-paced, Smooth But Unfairly Hard FPS | VERSEBREAK demo
Hello everyone! Here we are with a short demo I recently tried. This is VERSEBREAK and, to be fair, it is not short... I just decided to stop playing it. VERSEBREAK is a fast-paced FPS where you cast spells to get rid of all your enemies. Games looks great and performance is awesome; the first minutes are a lot of fun (except by the fact that one of your spells uses your HP...), but the fun is over once you face the first boss. I understand I went for hard difficulty, but having and enemy that not only has aimbot, but whose projectiles can track you down endlessly and you count with no invulnerability while dashing, just a shield with cooldown, while he can keep spamming attacks... It is just an unfair challenge. Your best bet is to wait 'till the boss (for some reason) decides to shoot the ground to give you enough time to cast the shield again. Sadly, that means you only beated the boss because of luck (if I play the demo again, I could be 30 minutes trying to beat the boss, or I could do it first try, depending on the way he decides to attack), so it wasn't even a satisfying victory. Don't get me wrong, with the right balance, this game has A LOT of potential, but right now is too punshing.
