A laid-back game that makes you feel like you've actually been there and explored the area is the perfect change of pace in your home time!

The game we'd like to introduce as a change of pace is Castle Rock Beach, West Australia, a new game released last month by the creators of Fushimi Inari Taisha.

Last time we felt like we were out on the mountains of Kyoto's shrines, but this time you can go to a beach abroad...!

I thought it was well done at Fushimi Inari Taisha, but it feels like reality has been pursued even further from there...!

The slight rise and fall of the viewpoint in time with the sound of footsteps gives the feeling that you are walking in the actual place, and the blurring of the viewpoint is also very realistic.

Alice is the type of person who thinks it's realistic, but it might be a tough game for those who get 3D sickness, so please be careful with that.

The game is available for free on Steam, so download it now!

Now it's time to go to the beaches of Australia!

Launch the game and you're on a foreign beach!

Castle Rock Beach in New South Wales, Australia, is a small, busy swimming beach.

This time, you get to explore it!

So let's get on with it and start the game.

From a blurry perspective: ......

Here we go!

You suddenly find yourself on a beach... that's how it starts!

The slight rise and fall of the viewpoint in time with the sound of walking creates a nice illusion that you are walking there. It's very nice again!

But maybe the background music is a bit too loud! (It was too loud even when I turned it down. w

You can also turn off the game's background music and play your favourite music in the background, so adjust the background music to your liking (

Let's take a picture of the scenery on the photo board!

As you wander around, you'll find a camera near your initial position.

As was the case last time, the presence of a camera means that ......

There it is, the board!

If you take all the photos on this board with the camera you picked up earlier (if they match, you'll hear a chiri-reen, bell-like sound, and the corresponding part will disappear from the board), it will open a key somewhere, I guess. Because that's what happened at Fushimi Inari Taisha.

So, let's take pictures of the scenery on the photo board!

For example, here. That's the sign for Castle Rock.

Spacebar to set up the camera, right-click to adjust the viewpoint, left-click to snap away!

Basic movement WASD, simultaneous shift and run. This area has the same controls as Fushimi Inari Taisha.

Mmmm~~ this view that you don't get in Japan!ใ€€Very nice...! (Unfortunately, you can't go beyond this point.

Post-clear elements

There are six views to find, and they were pretty easy, so I cleared them quickly!

Well, should a key have been opened somewhere...?

This one, which was locked by the board, seems to have opened. I can go ahead and walk to ......

Sunset!!!

It was a beautiful beach in the daytime, but the evening just made it even more charming...!

So you can stroll along the beach at dusk. This is nice.

Wandering around - there's something at the spot where I picked up my camera...

This is a drone!ใ€€It's the era~w!

Pick up the drone and you can operate it. Yay, I can take pictures from the air!

Too good a view. .........

After wandering around enjoying the view all around, I found something!

A photo board!!!ใ€€So, if I take a picture of this view, that means there's more to come...!

So I wandered around with the drone and took some photos, then pressed some button or something, then took photos on foot from the middle of the board... and cleared it!ใ€€Then I heard something about the colour and sound of flames...?

What? (...)

Why... a forest fire!ใ€€There was a bonfire near the photo board... are you saying that it caught fire...!

It's burning... the forest on the beautiful beach is burning...

At the end, there was a subtitle in English, and when I looked it up in a pause, it seemed to refer to the 'Australian Forest Fire', a massive bushfire in Australia that occurred in September 2019 (the fire has now been extinguished).

Forest fires occur in Australia every year, and in 2019, with low rainfall, dry air and a record heatwave, the conditions were right for the fires to start and spread. And it turned into a big fire...

A lot of animals, forests and buildings were killed in this fire...

I remember that I made a donation. It had completely slipped my mind because of Corona. ...... I see. Oh well...

I think there are still activities somewhere that lead to fundraising, so I'd like to find some and help in some way. Let's look for it.

The game can be completed in an hour even if you stroll slowly!

This time we were exploring beaches and forests abroad, but it was the last of more than just an exploration game!

This year there is just a corona, forest fires, I hope they don't happen. ......
