Castlevania: Circle of the Moon - Shooter Mode Video Walkthrough
This is a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / etc of the GBA game Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. I am playing in Shooter mode.
When playing in Shooter mode, your sub-weapons cost less hearts to use and also do more damage than usual. Also, if you pick up the dagger twice, you get the ability to throw homing daggers, which I use during the majority of the game.
While I do use the homing daggers for most of the game, there are a few times I switch over to the cross. The reason being is I just find the cross to simply be the superior weapon of choice at the time.
I don't go out of my way to get any cards, but thankfully I do get the two cards that allow you to double the amount of hearts you get when you pick up a heart, which is quite a time saver since the Shooter has so many hearts.
You'll notice I was able to take out the Skeleton Medalist with two well timed homing daggers. Usually you need the stopwatch (or even the stopwatch item crash) to slow him down, but I suppose in the case of the shooter, you just need a bit of good timing and luck.
I wanted to use the homing daggers in the arena, but after giving it some thought, I thought it would be best to simply use the cross. There are a few rooms there that I wouldn't really have time to throw daggers and hope they hit the right enemy...With the cross, the arena was cake....
I do suggest when playing as the Shooter, to at least try to have max hearts before fighting a boss. I didn't want to waste any time (except for one time when the room had two big hearts I could easily get) so I would just rush into the boss room. Thankfully in the case of Camilla, I had a few heart items to replenish my hearts a bit...
