Lunar Legend Video Walkthrough 3/4
39This is the third of four videos in the video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / etc for the GBA game Lunar Legend. This video goes from entering the Forest of Illusion to after the fight against the Magic Emperor.
This is a port of the PS1 version, which in itself was a port (and a much better one) of the Sega CD version. Plotwise, this game follows more along the lines of the PS1 version, though some story elements have been changed. One could say all three variations of the game have unique storylines (even though in the end it all boils down to the same things going on). One big difference between this version and the PS1 version is that there are no animated cutscenes. However, even if it does seem to be a watered down port, it's still quite nice, albeit rather straight forward and easy.
Like Mia's set of special EQ, I decided to sell off all the Gent EQ for Nash except for the weapon. However, I do keep all of Kyle's Fab set. I think the bonuses given to him are better than what you could do if you gave him other things. Of course, if you wanted to, you could just keep giving him upgraded gear as you came across it, but I think the Fab set worked out just fine for him.
I do get the item Devil's Tear eventually, and it gives whoever is wearing it a full action bar at the start of each fight. I could see where this might come in handy if you really liked using it, but I decided not to bother with it till the very end. I suppose if I wanted some fights to go a little bit easier, I could have equipped it on Mia and have her use Mistveil. Perhaps I should have done that, but obviously as you'll see it didn't really need to be done.
