Pro Duke Quakem Tips:
- Duke's basic Shotgun attacks is his best tool, having high power and range while costing no MP. Be sure to cancel his attacks (crouch attack, backdash, jump cancelling) because the recovery is horrendous otherwise.
- If you need to poke from afar, FF + A (Missile) or QCF (Freeze Beam) are good tools. The later sucks up a lot of MP and has a bad recovery so don't overuse it.
- Use Up + C Pipe Bombs if you need to lob an projectile overhead and downwards.
- Most of his other specials are pretty crap - maybe the HCF Pipebombs is OK on fat targets if you need to get out of a corner.
- Duke's Item Crash is his most damaging attack and thus he does a lot better on non-mobile targets - try not to whiff it.
- As a fatty who eats too much McDonalds, Duke's hitbox is bigger than it feels, so you'll be getting hit by stuff that other characters won't if you're relying on muscle memory.
