[imagine exasperated groan here]
Oh boy! More Magnes + Medusa Heads segment! Because third time's the charm!
Fuck these Medusa Heads + Magnes rooms. The boss of this area being the hardest enemy to kill in this game wasn't enough, right? They had to put the most obnoxious segment to get to it, one you can't rush by any means.
Death is by leaps and bound the hardest battle so far, he might be even harder than Dracula himself due to his randomness.
Death got one boost from Hard Mode, which makes me consider this boss the hardest of the entire game, and the most fucking annoying change you could ever do to this boss: the sickles spawn MUCH faster and I can't figure a pattern to these things. This boss makes me realize how much I miss Ghost or Buer souls and Stone Circle.
So what to do against this boss? Curl in a corner and cry? Sounds good, but it's not an effective tactic against the boss.
Melio Scutum is my second choice as it covers the front a a small part over Shanoa and put Nitesco to go with it. And lastly hope that the RNG won't spawn a sickle in your face. Trust me, that type of crap happens WAY more often than you think.
Truth be told I think I was one or two attempts away from ruling out the "No Death Ring" sub-rule here and use it against this boss because, holy macaroni with pepperoni, this was obnoxious to do.

Did anyone miss weapon glyphs? Because thanks to Barbarian equipment and Vis Fio they're finally back. Sure, they're less convenient than Nitesco, but I'm kinda sick of that glyph... Which I have to use against Death anyway since even a powered Melio Ascia/Macia/Falcis won't do anything against him.
And did I mention Eligor fight was the longest fight of the game? This boss fight ended up being even longer, sheesh.

* Started on fresh new game file (which means no New Game+ items or rewards AT ALL).
* Magic Tickets WILL be used.
* No Boss Rush reward or any other unlockable benefits like Queen of Hearts.
* Any grinding or hunt for items (chest, quest), glyphs I may need will be done off-screen.
* Dominus Agony will NOT be used.
