This place is above stupid, and beyond super stupid. It's ultra effin' stupid, and no force in this world can convince me of otherwise. You can claim the rest of Order of Ecclesia is better balanced for Hard Level 1 than Portrait of Ruin, but not Large Cavern.
You're not meant to try this map on Level 1, the very first room tells you so and in case that missed to give you the point, any of the following rooms in this damn place will gladly do so.
I hate everything about this map, but I hate a particular breed of hate for those Double Hammers and Weapon Masters.
*sigh* It's over, though. So no more Order of Ecclesia. I hope you all are satisfied because I've never been so burnt out of a game like I am now.

Large Cavern. It's not as bad as Nest of Evil since it's much shorter, but this thing is far from a walk in the park especially since the very first room will absolutely murder you and is there to tell this place means business.
Like Nest of Evil you can wait for a while until the doors open and run off if you survive for that long, but as much as I was tempeted in doing that, I decided to kill everything here out of sheer spite.
00:00 - The Nightmare Starts

00:13 - Room 1
Tin Men and Cave Trolls. Acerbatus + Volaticus or (Vol) Luminatio + (Vol) Umbra Union Glyph is a must. You just don't have enough raw power to mow them down quickly, so exercise caution especially because the Cave Troll will come at you at any provocation.
00:31 - Room 2
Two of those enemies. The first one you have to be careful and not move around too much, if you trigger both of those things it'll be VERY hard to survive. Vol Luminatio or Nistesco are the way to go here.
01:43 - Room 3
Double Hammer. I hate this thing more than I can express with words here. Touching the hammer is instant death, getting hit by an attack is instant death and that thing is stupidly fast. If you think you're safe flying close to the ceiling with Volaticus: you are mistaken. Anyway it's an armor enemy, Acerbatus works well against it since it has Lightning attribute.
02:32 - Room 4
Weapon Master. "Oh, how could I make Gurkha Master even more annoying...? More health and more attacks!" thought the enemy designer.
Fuck this thing as well. At least Weapon Master is predictable, and knowing how to handle it in its second phase makes fighting this enemy much less of a chore. Scutum will block his knives, but if you get too close it'll start jump spinning with that giant hammer.
03:59 - Room 5
Two of those Hammer jerks. Try to make them attack at the same time and keep them like that, fighting two of them scattered around the room is just asking to get kicked to the title screen, sometimes literally.
05:00 - Room 6
Two W. Masters. Not as bad as it appears if you use Volaticus and apply a similar tactic of the last room. Synchronize them and try to keep them that way. The second phase is a lot trickier as if you get too close to one or another they can start jumping everywhere which WILL be problematic.
07:08 - Room 7
No choice here, use Luminatio and Umbra Union Glyph to force Tin Men into their second phase and pick them off with something else. If you try to get cute and use Volaticus you'll find out there's a D. Lord that spawns right in the middle of the room. You WON'T survive a brawl with that thing and Tin Men below you.
08:08 - Room 8
Ugh. This room makes me dry heave, it's by far the worst room of Large Cavern. One Double Hammer and a Weapon Master.
I make sure to hit Double Hammer with Acerbatus without hitting Weapon Master too much (via glyph cancelling) as triggering its second phase while Double Hammer is still around is basically death.
10:52 - Room 9 — Boss: Jiang Shi
Jiang Shi. He'll be either the easiest boss or one of the toughest if you don't know how to deal with him. While Nitesco makes short work of his minions, the more the fight drags on, the more projectiles Jiang Shi will spawn and that thing deals over 700 damage. The good news are: you can prevent Jiang Shi from summoning enemies by blocking his projectile with Melio Scutum.

* Played on Hard difficulty at Max Level 1 cap.
* Started on fresh new game file (which means no New Game+ items or rewards AT ALL).
* Magic Tickets WILL be used.
* No Boss Rush reward or any other unlockable benefits like Queen of Hearts.
* Any grinding or hunt for items (chest, quest), glyphs I may need will be done off-screen.
* Dominus Agony will NOT be used.
