Castlevania Tutorial Playthrough With Commentary (NES)
100:20:33 GRIM REAPER AND HALLWAY (Hardest segment for many)
This was my second time beating the game and this time I used save and load states to minimise penalties for death and start at some of the bosses or checkpoints indefinately. It took around 2 hours 2 minutes to put together this rough playthrough and tutorial. Normally I endure all the penalties in a game but since I already beat the game legit I wanted to put together a playthrough for the channel and save some time. Also check out the version without commentary.
The most refined section of the playthrough is the grim reaper boss fight since that seems to give most, including myself the most trouble when originally trying to beat the game legit. I repeated that fight for around 32 minutes until I got it with no damage with just the cross sub weapon and no double or triple throw items. So it should help anyone who struggles with that part since it shows and explains how to do it with the bare minimum. Deaths edited out. I will definately complete more playthroughs and tutorials in this style, with games I already beat. Meaning using save and load states at checkpoints or before certain sections to put them together quicker, since I already beat them. As well as many new playthroughs of course, of games Ive never beaten. I will always be transparent about how I beat a game in the description, as I try to always show time it took to beat many games, as well as other details. Most playthroughs on the channel are my first completions of a game but I plan to revisit many games with this method for the channel. Let me know what you would like to see.
