Cats playing chess: Chess.com Promotional Contest Entry
UPDATED: IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ:
Alrighty guys, I know this isn't a regular vid by any means so I'll explain its purpose here.
Chess.com sent me an email about a contest they are holding trying to promote its website as there is a lot of online competition. The contest states to post a video on Youtube about ANYTHING, containing ANY content one chooses, and submit it to them. They then recommended to share it by ANY means necessary to bring attention to it. (So by all means, share =P )
The videos with the most LIKES will win a prize, including up to $1000 bucks. I looked at a ton of entries and I figured I could actually do better, and I have a good base of views to get a nice start.
The contest ends Dec 31st 2011, meaning I have the rest of the year to get as many LIKES on this video as possible. So it would be awesome if you came back now and then to give it another random like. Got some time during lunch at work? Like it. On the computer at school? Mute the comp and click over real quick for a like =P
Considering my Sub base, and being partnered with Machinima I know I have access to THOUSANDS of Likes and views, but not everyone is as awesome as you are so they likely won't help me out like you can.
I have not used any other online chess websites except for Yahoo which isn't very good, so I honestly have no idea which ones are best. I'm not trying to change anyones mind on which site they want to use if they really like a site they're on already, I'm just doing my bit to support the one I like.
In theory I could have uploaded a 3 second video of a picture of a tree and as long as I submitted it for an entry, it would qualify and the stats would count.
So thanks for the support, I'll let you guys know in January how I did and if I got anything!
Please be sure to LIKE the video! ^_^

Special thanks to Titan and Topaz, whom with the coaxing of about 35 treats each, sat still long enough to play me in chess. Reminds me of feeding chocobos mid-battle in FFVII
