LYNE is a puzzle game that I actually picked up during its launch week discount (way back in 2014), because from everything I'd seen, it seemed like a game I'd like. And sure enough... I liked it a lot. =)
Anyway, I've been playing it on-and-off over the years. More "off" than "on" in recent years... though a couple months ago, I started playing the Dailies on a fairly regular basis again. And then, last month, the 10th Anniversary Update happened. Which... I definitely wasn't expecting (it'd been years since the last update to the game), but given the content of the update, I was pretty happy about. ^.^
IMO the most exciting addition/adjustment was the way the Dailies were generated. The procedural generation process was updated so that it produces a greater variety of puzzles (with more difficult puzzle types having smaller set sizes, as a balancing factor), especially on weekends!
In addition, we now have the ability to customize the Dailies simply by editing a text file (see pinned thread "New Feature - Customise Daily Mode" on the Steam LYNE forum for info on how to do this)! I've been playing a lot with variations of the "Randomise the seed every time you enter daily mode" example file. ^_^
So... anyway, when I noticed that this channel was approaching 250,000 views, I started thinking... like this channel, LYNE has been around for 10 years as well... it might be nice to record another LYNE video, especially given the recent update to the game... =)
So when the channel passed 250k views (according to the up-to-date stats in my channel analytics) on 17/Sep/2024... I recorded the LYNE Daily puzzles for that day. Being a Tuesday, the Dailies weren't as difficult as they would've been later in the week... but we do still see some of the new puzzle structure elements the new procedural generation process can produce. ^_^

Wow, a quarter-million views... which IMO is kind of an impressive number for a channel where I've basically just been posting videos of games I enjoy. ^^;;
Of course, my viewcount is much much smaller than, uh, quite a number of youtube channels out there... but it's still a lot higher than I ever would've imagined when I first started... and it definitely wouldn't have happened without all of you. ^^
In all honesty, it really is nice knowing that people are watching (and hopefully enjoying!) the videos. So once again, thanks to all of you, whether you discovered this channel just recently... or have been here practically since the beginning!
So... anyway, see you at the next milestone, whatever and whenever it may be!
