Cavalcadence plays Aria 8: 2 Monstrous Shopkeepers! (All Zones Mode)


For anybody who's interested in custom Cadences (or other characters), the official NecroDancer FAQ has some info about creating custom characters, and even has a link to the pinned thread on the official forums, where people have posted some of their custom creations:

So, the Monstrous Shopkeeper is a pretty rare event... I think it's not as rare as a Green Bat, but it's still pretty rare. I've never seen more than one Monstrous Shopkeeper in a run before. Until now. ^^;

I'd always assumed it wasn't possible to get more than one Monstrous Shopkeeper in a run (similar to how it's not possible to kill more than one normal Shopkeeper in a run), but it looks like a run not having more than one wasn't actually an absolute restriction... but simply the result of probability.

This got me wondering, though... if it's possible to get more than one Monstrous Shopkeeper in a run... is it also possible to get more than one Green Bat in a run? Currently, I think the odds of getting a Green Bat seed are around 1 in 200... so the odds of getting two in a single run would be, what, 1 in 40,000? Something like that? ^^;;

Um, anyway...


So here it is... my first ever run with two Monstrous Shopkeepers! I did defeat them both... though I didn't get too much farther after defeating the second one. ^^; Ah well. =)

Monstrous Shopkeeper #1 was encountered (Zone 4, Level 1) at around: 0:46
Monstrous Shopkeeper #2 was encountered (Zone 3, Level 1) at around: 8:53

The mini-bosses and boss I encountered during this run were:
Zone 4: The Mommy, Blue Dragon, Blood Nightmare, and Deep Blues 4 (Aria version).
Zone 3: Nightmare.
