Description: Complete an "Ensemble Mode" run (solo or co-op; Synchrony DLC Required)
So... as many of you probably already know, among the other changes and additions (gameplay, balance, bugfixes, some new Achievements, etc) in yesterday's Synchrony update... a new game mode was added to the game: Ensemble Mode, where you play a different character for each level!
This definitely sounded interesting... so after updating the game, Ensemble was pretty much the first thing I looked at. =)
The first thing I checked was whether Coda was included (she isn't, which is what I was expecting, since she isn't included in the other Modes that include all characters)... and the second thing I checked was how the duplicate characters would be handled (with 20 levels & 17 non-Coda characters, there would have to be 3 duplicates).
I was kind of hoping that we'd be able to choose the 3 characters we get to play twice... but unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to do so; I think currently, the duplicates are automatically set to be Cadence, Melody, and Aria. ^^
Anyway... after poking around the Ensemble character select menu a bit, I decided to try a test run, to get a better feel for how the actual gameplay works in Ensemble, and interestingly... despite some mistakes and close calls... overall, the run went better than I was expecting (I hadn't played some of the characters in quite some time!), and I actually ended up with my first ever Ensemble win! ^.^
