Cavalcadence plays Mary 189: Ring of Becoming + Quartz Armor (All Zones Mode: SYNCHRONY)
So I was playing some normal Mary runs, when the game offered her a 1-2 Ring of Becoming! ^.^
After having discovered (mostly due to Mary's last RoB run (Mary 187)), tested, and verified that the RoB's disadvantage, rather than being an insta-death (like Monk's curse), is really just a really high amount of damage... I'd kind of wanted to try an intentional Ring of Becoming + Quartz Armor run at some point, so...
I decided to make this a Ring of Becoming run. =)
Having Quartz Armor (reduces damage taken down to 1 heart, no matter how damaging the attack was) means extra health is no longer quite so useless on a RoB run... so while searching for Quartz, I did keep an eye out for extra health opportunities. ^^
Anyway, long story short, overall, the run went fairly well (that 1-2 Golden Warhammer definitely helped a lot!), and though I did make a couple careless mistakes throughout the run (including one or two that would've ended the run if Mary hadn't found the Quartz Armor!)... Mary managed to keep the lamb safe through it all, and I ended up with my first intentional Ring of Becoming + Quartz Armor win! ^_^
