Here comes another tight developer time to beat. The main problem here is the very first leaf jump in the level, which is very tricky to jump due to the unfavourable position. To beat the developer time, you had to follow these steps:

1) DON'T grab the stopwatch first! Instead, advance until you reach the "?" Crate and feign a jump like I did in the video.
2) Now backtrack to the beginning of the level and wait for 4 seconds once the lilypad resurfaces on the water. Grab the stopwatch once you had do so, and hopefully the leaf is on a favourable position so you can jump to the log. If not, restart the time trial and redo the first step.
3) Keep jumping whenever you are ascending the tree trunk, it saves plenty of time. And also use the Aku Aku mask on the man-eating plant on the water to save time if possible.

Once you followed the steps properly, you will beat the developer time with at least 1 second.

My run of this level is very far from a top tier run and I could had use the mask on the man-eating plant to save even more time. But I'll upload a better run once I had improved my time.
