This took 2 real attempts. 1st attempt is too long so i remove it.

PS:- It may seem i typing slowly. It because of the lag where i have to slow down my typing. I type much faster than that.

Connecting to the internet require logical address, generally known as ip address.

1st part is manually configuring ip address and the static route.
Ip address as we known is part of Layer 3 connectivity.

There are lot lot of MAC address. We can't simply go around the world finding that one particular MAC address. It like getting lost in the city and don't know where it going. That is horribly too long. We need to organisize it to make it easier to find and quicker as well.

Now in this video, i assign the interface with an ip address. This allow Layer 3 Connectivity and make it easier to find the end user.

Every time PC ping, it check to see if the address is within the same network. If it not there, it has to sent to the router and it up to Layer 3 device router to route that data.

If address doesn't appear in same network, it then find the MAC address. If MAC address is not there, it send an ARP request (Layer 2) to find the MAC address for a particular IP address.
Without a MAC address, it can't physical get to the PC without guessing so it broadcast to all PC. The PC that has this IP address sent a unicast ARP reply back to the PC who sent with the MAC address. Now the PC that sent ARP request got the MAC address and is stored in arp table. Switch store it in Mac Address Table.

ip route:- It a static route. It like looking at the road sign on how to get to the desire IP address. This is assign to router. Without ip route, the router don't know the path where it sent the data, therefore it immediately drop the data.

Next topic is DHCP. DHCP stand for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. It an Application Layer (Layer 5 (Top layer) in TCP/IP protocol). DHCP can distribute the address from the DHCP pool. This topic would be cover more in the future episode.

Lastly, we also attempt to ping between the private network through the network.
