(CCPlays) Starfleet Command | Hydran Campaign 6 | Final Voyage | Let's Play
Welcome to Captain Chang Plays... Starfleet Command, Hydran Campaign.
In the previous episode, we defeated some fanatics who wanted to destroy all the fences in the starbeast reserves, then raided a Klingon listening post for intel about their spy network.

Pirates
-----
We blew up more pirates.
I've upgraded to two cruisers... I have the Dragoon, the hellbore version, so I got the Ranger, the fusion variant, by trading in the Warrior hybrid destroyer.

Final Voyage
-----
One of the oldest star beast, Ctalhru, wishes to end his own life by throwing himself into his home system's sun. Allow no one to interfere. It is likely both the Beast Hunters (who want a trophy) and the Sacred Beast Cult (who believes no one should touch the beasts) will show up and interfere. Deal with them if they do.
We accelerated to catch up with Ctalhru, but he's only going at a leisurely speed 8. Then we saw that both factions have shown up... 2 frigates each. We can handle them easily, the question is can we stop them from hurting the beast?
Turns out, we didn't have to do much. The Sacred guys went after the Hunters with fanatical zeal, but got blown up. We used the time to catch up to the beast, overload weapons, and blasted the survivors to pieces. The hostile stinger fighters did do a little damage to the beast, but nothing that will stop him. We quickly blast the fighters as well.
We then sedately followed the beast until the distance to the star got to about 60. Then we slowed down and watched him go in.
Mission accomplished.
And the campaign continues...
