CCP’s top 12 Angry Video Game Nerd Episodes
28For over 15 years the Angry Video Game Nerd has been entertaining people who use the internet....worldwide! It would be a lie to say that his videos didn't have at least a minor role in inspiring our own little video game channel....okay....like, the dude inspired almost every retro video game channel and we basically owe him everything. He's ground zero for this stuff!
So this year, as our Halloween special, we decided to watch every single Angry Video Game Nerd episode ever made and then rank the top 12. This process took us months, but it was well worth it as we had forgotten just how great many of those classic AVGN episodes really were. Perhaps, today, the Nerd gets written off as a "has been", or a "failed film maker", but the truth is the dude has made some outstanding content that holds up to the test of time and he should also be recognized for his many successes.
Anyway, this video is our homage to your, and our, retro gaming hero....the Angry Video Game Nerd. We hope that you like it and that you have an enjoyable Halloween!

Also, we'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention the unfortunate plagiarism scandal at Cinemassacre. It really sucks my dudes. We were really looking forward to Monster Madness this year but the fact that James didn't really write the reviews, and the likelihood that many of the reviews are of questionable quality, has driven us away. I can't bring myself to watch them. We're not going to comment on this any further than to say that we're very disappointed. A few other YouTubers have made some excellent videos providing commentary on the situation.
My favorite has been by Red Cow Entertainment. They recently did two separate podcasts on Cinemassacre and James Rolfe. I recommend both of them, as well as their Box Mac series on their main channel.

The other is a less friendly video by Hat Hole Home Video. He's so upset over this thing that he's unsubscribing from Cinemassacre. I disagree with his take on a few points, but his video is quality and he has an interesting perspective.
