2So, when I was working on fixes to the CD-i core, I learned how the graphics system works. It really wants everything to be rectangles, and preferably stationary rectangles. The flippers having no animation is likely the result of the programmers realizing that there was no easy way to simply rotate the flippers while also making sure they are responsive to the next button press.
