In this episode of my tutorial series for Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead, we go over the various ways you can obtain the game. Remember that CDDA is a free and open source game and I highly recommend that you never pay anyone for it. We'll talk in the episode about the github page, the launcher, and we talk briefly about compiling/available packages.

I also mention Steam, but as of the time of this going live the person behind that project has not moved forward in a way that is visible. They announced it would release no later than 9-12-2021, which was about a week ago. It's possible they meant Sunday December 9th (using the other date layout) but it seems odd they would post about it months ahead of time. Someone recently brought to my attention that the IOS version of the game costs money or has in-app purchases. I realize that some people have iphones and that's their only means to play the game, but I also don't think you should be paying someone to play a game that is otherwise free.

In this tutorial series for Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead I will be doing my best to teach you how to play the game. I'll cover tips and tricks for playing CDDA and hopefully equip you to survive the zombie apocalypse. Each episode will be as heavily edited as my meager ability will allow. Although Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead is a difficult game about surviving in the apocalypse, if you stick it out you'll realize this is the best zombie sandbox type game ever created.

Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead is a zombie survival sandbox game in the style of a roguelike. There's a wide variety of zombies as well as non-zombie enemies, and the game overall is in my top 3 best games of all time. The freedom you're given in the game, the ability to mutate your survivor, install bionics, or build a vehicle from scratch, all make this one of my favorites that you should check out!
