-------------------------
Today's CDP features the Libromancer theme in all the glory, in a competitive-leaning build designed to make the most of the new support in CYAC. If you haven't checked out the Libromancer theme yet, it centers around Ritual Summoning via its Field Spell, Libromancer First Appearance, which also happens to tutor a Libromancer Monster upon activation. As far as the Non-Ritual Monsters, these Libromancers can all Special Summon themselves from the hand by revealing a Ritual Monster in the hand, then they provide advantage-generating effects. Whether it is Libromancer Fire tutoring another Libromancer Monster or Libromancer Geek Boy tutoring a Libromancer Spell, this deck is the height of extenders and consistency, even before throwing in the ease of access to each via Emergency Teleport and Cynet Mining. Since the bulk of the deck Special Summons itself, I'm running a Diviner of the Herald engine, as it is a great way to tutor Ritual Monsters via Herald of the Arc Light, as well as providing access to Baronne de Fleur when combined with Libromancer Fire. Beyond all these options, the Libromancer theme is also set to receive a new Continuous Spell in CYAC, Libromancer Origin, that sets another Libromancer Spell/Trap to your field on activation, increasing your ability to have both Libromancer Intervention and Libromancer Displaced, the theme's two Trap Cards, ready to disrupt the opponent as they try to fight back.
Now all of these Libromancer cards are cool and all, but they easily combine with other great Ritual cards as well. Illusion of Chaos makes an appearance here as a way to tutor Magicians' Souls, as the deck frequently has leftover Spells/Traps that it would love to exchange for additional card draws. Or you can turn to Cyber Angel Benten, a Level 6 Ritual Monster that is the perfect tribute to offer in order to Ritual Summon your Libromancer Doombroker, as it tutors Diviner or Vanity's Ruler when Tributed. Lastly, we come to the Mikanko archetype, led by Mikanko of the Oohime. Oohime is another Level 6 Ritual, except it can tutor a Mikanko card before discarding 1 while it is in your hand. The Mikanko engine here primarily focuses on abusing the power of Arabesque of the Mikanko to bounce a monster on field back to the hand while summoning Nini the Mirro Mikanko from your Deck, who can then add to your disruption options by stealing control of an opponent's monster during their turn. That said, I'm also using the new Mikanko Spell from CYAC, Dance of the Mikanko - Fascinating Bird, as it can be used to spin cards on the field back to the hand, such as your own Libromancer First Appearance, plus it can recover a Mikanko from the GY, should you need a second wind to get back in the duel. Overall, this amalgamation of engines works extremely well at playing smoothly and ending duels quickly - hope you enjoy!
