CDP: Mikanko Wields the True Bamboo Sword, ft. DBAD Support

Welcome back to another profile, this time presenting the brand new Mikanko theme that just was fully revealed from the upcoming Deck Build Pack in the OCG. This archetype features only 3 monsters, but their slew of Equip Spells more than makes up for it. For your two Main Deck monsters, each carries the effect that if they are not equipped with an Equip Card, you take no battle damage, but if they are equipped, they can't be destroyed by battle and your opponent takes the battle damage instead! As for their second effect, Hare the Sword Mikanko is the Level 3 FIRE Warrior that tutors any Mikanko Equip Spell when equipped with an Equip Card and Nini the Mirror Mikanko, the Level 3 WATER Spellcaster, gains a Quick Effect to gain control of an opponent's monster during their turn, as long as she is equipped with an Equip Card. As the final monster, Mikanko of the Oohime leads the way, a Level 6 Ritual monster that cannot be destroyed by battle and redirects all battle damage from its battles to the opponent. Plus, Oohime can equip an Equip Spell from your GY to any monster you control as a Quick Effect!
Where this theme starts to get even more unique and super cool is that Oohime also has an effect in the hand to tutor any Mikanko card and discard a card, giving you access to any archetype member with a snap of her fingers. This includes her Ritual Spell, Mikanko Kagura, which, after Ritual Summoning, can destroy cards your opponent controls up to the number of Equip Spells with different names in your GY, then inflicting 1000 dmg for each. I'll leave you to read most of the Equip Spells on your own, but the most powerful is Arabesque of the Mikanko which can be equipped to an opponent's monster to bounce it back to the hand, then summon a Mikanko monster from your deck before equipping Arabesque to that summoned monster! It's practically a +2 in card advantage at no cost to you, and if you summon Hare, then you can tutor another copy of Arabesque immediately!
Beyond the Mikanko cards, I'm also running this with the Bamboo Sword archetype, a series of Spells that offer extreme card draw in the form of Golden Bamboo Sword, and even more consistency than ever with the arrival of True Bamboo Sword and the pre-existing Cursed Bamboo Sword. All of these Swords come together, especially when you factor in Burning Bamboo Sword which locks down your opponent's next Main Phase 1 whenever you activate any other Bamboo Sword card. With a deck bent on OTK'ing by attacking through your opponent's monsters and reflecting damage, this engine does a great job at preventing them from OTKing you too quickly! Speaking of OTKs, don't forget the Mikanko Field Spell, Doorway of the Celestia Mikanko, which can let your monsters repeatedly attack your opponent by sending an Equip Card you control to the GY. Oh, and it prevents them from activating cards and effects while any Mikanko battles. Make your opponent feel the sting of citrus with the new Mikanko archetype!
