CDP: Royal Straight Slasher Arcana Poker Knight, with Tearlaments, ft AC02 Support
I see your Full House and raise you a Royal Flush!
Today's profile features a return to the Poker Knight theme that received TCG WP support last year in King's Court, except this time, I'm doing things a bit... differently. If you missed that video focused around using them with Slifer support, check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_NDzGcNrS0 . Today's build is possible due to a new Quickplay Spell for the theme, Royal Straight. This Spell sends a Queen's Knight, King's Knight, and Jack's Knight from your hand or field to the GY, then Special Summons any monster from your hand, Deck, Extra Deck, or GY that mentions all of them. The options to summon with this are Arcana Triumph Joker, which grows in power with hand size, Arcana Knight Joker, which serves as a difficult to overcome boss, and the other new AC02 card, Royal Straight Slasher. Slasher can send 1 monster of each Level from Levels 1 to 5 from your hand/Deck to the GY to destroy all cards your opponent controls. This is a massive combo, but it also means you have to find decent cards to send for its effect. Enter my take - Despias, Tearlaments, and Shaddoll.
Looking back, if there is one thing that was missing from the Poker Knight deck, it was an effective win condition. A resultion of Slasher does just that, not just for the field destruction, but also because if you send Shaddoll Beast, any Level 4, Tearalaments Havnis, Tearlaments Merrli, and Despian Tragedy to the GY, you also get two Fusion monsters out of the deal, plus a tutored Aluber the Jester of Despia and a draw. This swing in advantage is enough to win just about any duel... except the one shown in the second duel of the replays apparently. Anyways, beyond this combo, the Poker Knight deck still has an amazing grind game, turning to supporting LIGHT Warriors in the Extra Deck such as Constellar Pleiades and Exosister Asophiel to give you just a bit of extra disruption before going for the pinnacle of poker hands. In other words, test your luck with the Poker Knights!
