Bienvenue to the kitchens that brought your the infamous Hungry Burger. These Nouvelles Chefs de Cuisine begin by offering your opponent a choice - Voici la Carte - Here is the Menu lets your opponent select which of two Nouvelles monsters will be tutored to your hand, then it also adds one of the theme's Ritual Spells as well, either Recette de Poisson - Fish Recipe or Recette de Viande - Meat Recipe. Either Ritual Spell can be used to Ritual Summon any of the Nouvelles Rituals, which span from Buerillabaisse de Nouvelles at Level 1 to Baelgrill de Nouvelles at Level 6. Along the way, these Nouvelles monsters carry a final effect that lets you tribute Attack Position monsters to Special Summon the Nouvelles monster that is one or two levels higher, until you get to Baelgrill, which can tribute an opponent's monster to Special Summon Hungry Burger. Additionally, each has a special effect that triggers when Special Summoned, such as Foie Glasya de Nouvelles which shuffles up to 3 cards from the GYs back into the deck. Holding this theme together is the restaurant itself, Nouvelles Auberge "A Table", the theme's Field Spell, that tutors any Recipe card upon activation, as well as giving you an effect to mulligan a Ritual Monster in your hand.
With today's Grand Opening of this new cuisine-themed archetype, it only seemed fair to include an appropriate (not-wine) pairing, so I turned to the Mikanko archetype. This theme is led by Ohime the Manifested Mikanko, a Level 6 Ritual Monster that can tutor any Mikanko card by revealing itself in your hand, then discarding a card. Combine this with options like Mikanko Water Arabesque or even the theme's Ritual Spell, Mikanko Kagura, and you can enhance the natural capabilities of the Nouvelles theme, for no other reason than tutoring monsters to use as tribute for their Ritual Summon. You see, there really is no benefit to using a Nouvelles monster as Tribute, so why not use Mikanko instead? The other benefit is that using your Mikanko Equip Spells on a Nouvelles monster can trigger their Tribute effect, such as the effect of Confitras de Nouvelles, which can activate when any card or effect is activated that targets it, or when targeted for an attack. Offer your hungry opponent's as tribute to the Burger, as these demon chefs serve that sole goal... besides feeding you your pick of the menu, of course.
