Welcome to today's CDP, and this time I've covering a theme for the first time - SPYRAL! The SPYRAL archetype features a bunch of monsters with a unifying theme of generating advantage from guessing the top card of the opponent's deck correctly. Luckily, SPYRAL GEAR - Drone exists, letting you set the top card of their Deck whenever it is summoned. As for your main super spies, both SPYRAL Super Agent and SPYRAL Tough can destroy cards by guessing correctly, Super Agent Special Summons itself from the hand and destroying a S/T while Tough just picks a target to destroy. However, the true ringleader of this operation is SPYRAL Double Helix, a Link-2 monster that lets you guess the top card of the opponent's deck to take a SPYRAL from your deck or GY, then Special Summon it to a zone it points to or add it to your hand. Combine that with SPYRAL Quik-Fix with tutors all of your SPYRAL GEAR cards, and you can start snowballing monsters on your field into more and more Link Summons. And with 3 SPYRAL Resort, you have access to whichever one you need the most, since it can tutor a SPYRAL monster once per turn.
Now the second half of this build is where it starts to get interesting, because that's when the Scrap engine makes its appearance. For those who haven't seen any of my recent profiles using it, the Scrap engine centers around Scrap Recycler, which sends a Mecha Phantom Beast O-Lion to the GY on summon, giving yourself two monsters to Link Summon Scrap Wyvern. Wyvern can then be used to bring out Scrap Golem from your deck, which summons back Recycler again, giving you another Machine monster milled to your GY. This combo can even start with Scrap Raptor now, hence it is rather consistent. With Mecha Phantom Beast O-Lion back Unlimited, you now don't have to worry about running a second option such as Crystron Rosenix, as if you draw your second copy of O-Lion, the first can banish itself from your GY to give you an additional Normal Summon for that second copy.
Moving back to the cohesive strategy at hand, all the material given to you via the Scrap engine, combined with Parallel eXceed and all the free advantage from your SPYRAL cards, gives you plenty of fodder to start Link Summoning to your heart's content. Tri-Gate Wizard is a key option here, as you can often times field a board with Wizard co-linked to 3 other monsters, giving you an additional omni-negate, but you also have easy access to Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess as well. If you happen to send World Legacy - "World Crown" to the GY, you can even Link Summon Lib the World Key Blademaster to give you access to World Legacy Succession for even more Link shenanigans!
