CDP: The Crossout Adventures of Libromancer Fire with Angels and Illusion
Let's designate this as a streamlined Libromancer build.
Today's profile features a rather hardline, competitive take on the Libromancer theme, following the release of their second wave of support. The Libromancer archetype is comprised of Effect monsters and Ritual upgrades of each, and they are all extremely easy to summon. Libromancer Fire and Libromancer Geek Boy serve as the two core Main Deck monsters, each able to Special Summon themselves by revealing any Ritual Monster in the hand. When summoned, Fire tutors any Libromancer monster and Geek Boy tutors any Libromancer Spell. Combined with Libromancer First Appearance, a Field Spell that tutors any Libromancer monster on activation, you have access to any monster in theme off of either of the two. Throw in Libromancer Doombroker, a Level 6 Ritual that tutors a Libromancer Trap, and you are set. Speaking of the Traps, let's chat about the two awesome Traps this theme has - Libromancer Displaced allows you to steal an opponents monster by returning a Libromancer monster back to your hand, and Libromancer Intervention lets you negate an activated card or effect by bouncing a Libromancer Ritual back to the hand, before it summons a Libromancer back from the GY. Together, these two Traps serve as core disruption and enough of a backbone to fill the rest of the deck with hand traps and engines.
Speaking of hand traps and engines, many of these are familiar, such as the Adventurer cards and Artifact Scythe into Baronne de Fleur package. Due to the synergy with any Ritual monster, I'm also using an Illusion of Chaos with Magicians' Souls engine, which has even more synergy here than the normal power it gives to most decks. Finally, the largest engine is a set of 3 Crossout Designator and a ton of cards to banish for it. Effect Veiler, Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Infinite Impermanence, Called by the Grave... all of these options are solid disruptors in their own right, but combined with Crossout, you can protect your own plays quite well. The last engine also revolves around Ritual monsters - a small Cyber Angel Benten engine with the tutoring options of Diviner of the Herald or Vanity's Ruler. Since all of your Libromancer monsters Special Summon themselves, your Normal Summon is free for shenanigans, so I run both of these to allow for more versatility. Vanity's locks your opponent from Special Summoning if you go first, and Herald gives you easier access to Baronne while destroying a card with Elder Entity N'tss if going second. Either way, Benten easily kicks off your chain when Tributed for a Ritual Summon via your Libromancer Field Spell. So bust open the dusty pages of this comic book, for the Libromancers are about to spring out in surprise!
