Celeste: Chapter 6 - Reflection: Part 2 (C. Tape, Blue Heart / Confront to Comfort)
4Madeline thought she had it all figured out with that "Part of Her". That Badeline... She thought that the best course of action to get rid of her was to literally set her free.
This violently angered Badeline. She sent Madeline plummeting all the way back down the mountain. This made her take a very long fall into a deep cave, and that fall even had her crashing through several spiked crystals (how did she not die from all of this?!).
Luckily, falling into a deep pool of water saved her, but what wasn't save was her assumed realization about herself...

This is when Chapter 6 starts for real. Although this is where the hazards start, there are absolutely no Strawberries to pick up in this Chapter. You can still find a Cassette Tape and a Blue Crystal Heart here, however. I'll take about the Heart in a moment.
New mechanics from this Chapter, besides the Golden Feather, are:
- Kevin Blocks. Hit them at an open blue side, and the block will grumble and charge towards the side you hit it on. It will keep going until it hits a hard wall, and then slowly reset back in place. It can be redirected, smash through softer blocks that Madeline can't, and boost her jumps.
- The Bumpers work exactly like they would in a Pinball or Sonic game. Hit them at just the right angle so they launch you off in the direction you're trying to go.

I take advantage of Neutral Jumping to make Madeline climb up a long wall only using wall jumps without burning her Stamina. I used this to bring her to the Blue Crystal Heart's room.
You have to solve a puzzle that involves dashing in a certain order of directions based on the colors of the jewels above you. In fact, it's the same code of directions of the colorful birds you could find in Chapter 1.
You have to do this four times, but the three after first one has you respectively reverse the directions, turn them upside-down, and then do both together. Get this all right, and the Blue Heart will be yours!

Madeline was pretty depressed that her attempt to reason with Badeline failed. She really wanted to get rid of her, but she can't because she knows that she's a Part of Her. She starts believing her, and as such herself, that's she's not fit to climb Celeste Mountain...
Later on, Madeline runs into Granny once again, and once again she wasn't thrilled about it. Poor Madeline was ready to call it quits on the mountain and go home, broken, miserable, and hopeless of her life...
But Granny knew that Madeline wasn't really going to give up. It's just been hard for her to deal with that Part of Her that keeps pulling her back. Granny suggested that Badeline wasn't a bad influence. She was just scared this whole time. Granny wanted Madeline to talk to Badeline over why she's been scared of this climb, and was even willing to let the girl take as much time as she needed to come to terms with this.

Eventually, Madeline does talk to Badeline again. Instead of pushing her away, she now wanted to come closer to her. She decided that the only way she can climb the mountain was to do it together with that Part of Her.
What happens next from the first collision is a MAGNIFICENT boss chase! Badeline ascends her power to attack Madeline and push her back. YOU must use Madeline to ascend herself and push her forward!
Each room you go through in this fight has you dodge different attacks from Badeline, from slow fireballs to fast lock-on lasers. The terrain around you can also fall down and to either crush you or give you extra footing if you dodge it. Bumpers and Golden Feathers will come in to help you with chasing Badeline down, and hitting her will refresh Madeline's abilities.
This "fight" is won once the music stops.

Eventually, Badeline gives up, but still believes that Madeline wants to get rid of her for good. Madeline wants to team up with her and climb the mountain together.
They cuddled together and hugged, and then they suddenly merged...

This Merged Madeline has flowing pink hair. In gameplay, this means she can now Dash TWICE!
Use this skill to make one final climb and finish this Chapter of Reflection. It ends once you hit a purple orb that lets Badeline catapult Madeline hundreds of meters into the air.

With this new power, Madeline was confident that she and Badeline can reach the mountain's Summit. Granny and Theo then soon found the two, which let them both finally see Badeline for themselves.
Badeline was still scared of this climb, but Madeline encouraged her that they can do it together.
With Badeline finally coming around to work with Madeline, combined with Theo willing to carry Madeline's climbing bag, Madeline finally felt a huge figurative and literal weight off her shoulders as she was ready to complete her journey of climbing Celeste Mountain once and for all...
