FILMMAKER BIO:
The Brothers Lynch are a writer-director duo from the UK who were selected as Screen Stars of Tomorrow 2013.
Their first short film DUAL, premiered at the BFI London Film Festival. Their action comedy screenplay SITTING DUCKS was one of just twenty scripts selected from 1,900 for the BBC Writer"s Room scheme in 2012. The same year they won the Film4 Scene Stealers competition with their sci-fi spin on a scene from THIS IS ENGLAND.
Their short film, OLD HABITS, starring Ronald Pickup (BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL, PRINCE OF PERSIA) and David Warner (TRON, TITANIC, TIME BANDITS), premiered at LA Shorts Fest "14.
RESIDUAL, a complex sci-fi thriller, will be their feature debut. Their screenplay was selected as an Academy Nicholl Fellowship Semi-Finalist; a Sci-Fi Screencraft Finalist; and a Tracking Board Launchpad Quarter Finalist. Ed Barratt of Hook Pictures is producing and Lorton Entertainment are financing. The project is currently casting.
In 2016 they completed a short film based on RESIDUAL starring Tom Cullen (LAST DAYS ON MARS, DOWNTON ABBEY, WEEKEND), Joseph Mawle (GAME OF THRONES, HEART OF THE SEA, ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER) and Ana Ularu (INFERNO, EMERALD CITY). TRIAL was a Vimeo Staff Pick and featured on Short of the Week and had its festival premiere at the Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying Encounters Short Film Festival.
They have also written FINAL SCORE - an action thriller currently in post-production. It is being produced by the Fyzz Facility"s Robert Jones, Wayne Marc Godfrey and James Harris along with Signature Entertainment"s Marc Goldberg and directed by Scott Mann (HEIST, THE TOURNAMENT). It stars Pierce Brosnan (GOLDENEYE, THE NOVEMBER MAN) and Dave Bautista (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, SPECTRE) and is due for release later in 2017.
