Music Track - "Back in the Box" by Kwame Laryea (www.kwa.me)
"The Game EP", http://kwame.bandcamp.com/.
00:03 Sharwoods "Indian"
On this spot I was the lead Compositor and responsible, alongside the VFX Supervisor, for the final look of 22 shots. The three shots shown here were all comped by me from start to finish, the first two showing a 3D/2D solution and the third a purely 2d solution (it was important to do as many shots as possible without 3D due to time and budget constraints).
00:16 Vauxhall "Corsa Multicolour"
On this spot we were provided by the client with a previously aired spot for the Opel Corsa to version for the UK. SThis invoIved changing the position of the steering wheel from car right to car left, replacing the Opel insignia and radiator with the Vauxhall one, replacing the fog-lights and hubcaps on the red car, and changing the roof colour on the white car. Since we were not provided any scene, tracking data or clean plates these all had to be recreated in-house. I completed all the 2D work from clean-up and roto to final compositing of 3D elements and replaced the hubcaps using Nuke"s 3D system and simple geometry and projections.
00:25 Kader "Eyes"
For these shots I was provided a cut of the girls shots against a grey/black background and given free creative reign to create the composites.
00:28 Fellows "Better Shreeder"
For this shot I had to replace the text for multiple markets: French (shown), German, Portugeuse and Spanish. this meant creating a reusable script that cold also be accessible by other artist. Creating these kind of recyclable comps is a major part of my work at Craft Worldwide.
00:30 Nestlé "Fitness"
Again I created all comps on this spot to be easy to reversion for other markets.
00:32 Giuseppe Tornatore"s "Baaria"
This was my first film project. Working in Shake I composited the mountains as well as producing the final keys shown.
00:43 Ford Vertrek Launch
This was my last ever project on Shake. Working with the Senior Compositor I composited a large number of shots for this piece. The shots shown are the ones I completed, integrating the CG granite elements and ambient occlusion style backgrounds.
00:50
Nestea "Winter Plum"
I was the main compositor on this spot, working with multiple passes as well as creating the background matte painting and, texturing the leaves and the final render of the section shown in Vray.
00:55 Coke "Arctic Home"
I was the compositor on this tag. As well as compositing the passes I also animated the bears based on real-life reference and blended them to a halt as per the actual label.
01:04 "Grabbers" Wire, marker and reig removals.
Lots of tricky removals here with live action rain and fog to rematch over the removals. The first shot in the sequence is part of a much longer shot panning back and forth (I used the whole shot on my last reel, but trimmed it down this time), originally featuring a crane on the far left and about 40 led markers on the container and ground below the creature.
The other shots involved removing safety wires, one of which was tangled up with the shirt the girl is shaking at 01:23
01:24 Compare the Market "Village"
I removed the human driver using Nuke"s lovely projections.
01:26
My first foray into Maya. Working with the 3D Artist at Chrome Digital (now Craft) between projects I modelled a number of the cogs, painted textures and bump maps as well as comping the final piece.
01:36 Mastercard "Harrods"
Taking artwork from print I created this neon animation originally used in MasterCard"s Harrods Digital Out of Home, and later used in broadcast TVC"s
01:39 Toshiba "Cinema"
Given a brief from the creative I was given a number of puns to turn into visual gags, so I had a chance to be creative on this project. Many iterations were presented, some lost for legal reasons (my jumping lamp for Toy Story Free was one). I created basic animations in After Effects, then created and integrated 3D the elements. I rigged, shaded, lit and rendered the whale (from Turbosquid) in Maya and Mental Ray, animated the boxing gloves in Maya and the ribbons in Cinema 4D.
01:51 Cartoteca Storica Regionale delle Marche
I created this animation for an educational video for San Quirico"s map museum. The artwork is actually a Medieval print.
01:57 Cappy "Pulpy"
