Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya was one of Sonic! Software Planning's three entries into the Shining Force Gaiden series on the Game Gear, a series that filled in around the edges of the main lineage of the series on the Genesis (even though the Genesis versions were ultimately outnumbered). It carries the same tactical RPG gameplay, the same vibrant character portraits, the same number-crunching action... just on a smaller screen. Hey, if Fire Emblem could do it on the Famicom, the Game Gear could do it too.
