Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Wild Trax for Super Famicom developed by Argonaut Games and published by Nintendo.

Wild Trax - best known as Stunt Race FX - attempted to bring 3D racing from the arcades to the home consoles, just a few months after Sega's Mega Drive release of Virtua Racing attempted to push that same envelope. Argonaut and Nintendo, though, had the power of the Super FX Microchip (of Star Fox fame) on their side, and leveraged that power into a fully-3D environment, fully 3D cars, and other special effects that stand a world away from the Mode 7 effects seen in the likes of Mario Kart and F-Zero.
