This is an officially licensed Major League Baseball video game, released at a time when gamers actually had options for their MLB gaming fix. Inside Pitch 2003 plays as you'd expect a modern baseball game to play, albeit with less of the depth and complexity now standard in games like The Show. Inside Pitch 2003 features a season mode, but not a multiple-year franchise mode. There's also a player creation tool that makes you take basic baseball drills to level up your player, who can then be traded to whatever team you wish. Inside Pitch 2003 had a robust online component for its time, and fortunately, it also supports basic local multiplayer. Inside Pitch 2003 features commentary from Joe Buck and Tim McCarver, who says things like "He should think about bunting more." Obviously, Tim McCarver isn't a Moneyball guy. Inside Pitch 2003 also supported downloadable content.
