X-Men: Mutant Wars review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of X-Men: Mutant Wars for the Game Boy Color developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Activision.

Sharpen up that adamantium, baby. Play as Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Gambit and Iceman as you battle to stop evil cyborgs from taking over the planet in X-Men: Mutant Wars. Attacking will drain a character’s attack power, however, so be sure to switch characters when you run out. A mutant’s no good if they can’t do mutant attacks, right? X-Men: Mutant Wars is a side-scrolling beat ‘em up with very simple design and gameplay—generally, just beat up the enemies and walk to the right. It does, however, boast some very nice graphics and sprites on the Game Boy Color. Professor X would be proud. X-Men: Mutant Wars is a single-player game.

This video review features video gameplay footage of X-Men: Mutant Wars for the Game Boy Color and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
