Gem Smashers review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Gem Smashers from Frame Studios and Crave Entertainment for the Nintendo 3DS. The original Gem Smashers was released for the Game Boy Advance. The concept is like Breakout meets Bust-a-Move. Gems are scattered across the screen, and controlling the character of your choice, you bounce around and break them. Because your character moves automatically, you're only in charge of steering. In terms of its gameplay, not a whole lot was changed for the 3DS version of Gem Smashers. The problem is that other things were, and few of those changes were for the good. This video review features video gameplay footage of Gem Smashers for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
