CGU investigates fraud involving manipulated audio in INSS reimbursements

🏢 Government Power | The CGU (Office of the Comptroller General of the Union) has launched an investigation into associations that are allegedly using manipulated audio recordings to contest reimbursement requests made by INSS (National Institute of Social Security) retirees and pensioners.
The practice, dubbed "fraud of fraud," involves recordings edited to simulate authorization for deductions from social security benefits. The investigation began on July 24th, when reimbursement began for retirees affected by the undue deductions.
