Recently, my garage door opener broke, so I went Home Depot to buy a new one. I asked them if they could program the garage door opener I will buy from them. They said yes, but it will cost you $40. I called a garage door repairman who fixed my garage door to program the garage door opener, and he asked for $140 for each garage door opener. $140!!!!!! I tried to program it, and I looked at the instruction and tried it. The instruction was very poorly written, and it didn't work. I kept playing with it until I figured it out. I saved $40, and now anyone who wants to program their own garage door openers can do it for the cost of a garage door opener.
About 1 year ago when my mom bought a new LCD TV, the people who she bought the TV said they will charge her $70 to setup the smart TV. These TVs don't work if you just plug it into the wall socket, you have to do some stuff with the software. On the weekend when I went to my parent's house, I read the manual and figured it out. Don't these people know they can't gouge people! Anyone with a brain in their heads and a internet connection to do stuff for FREE!
