Today, we have the AGS, a tank from the U.S. tech tree, currently only available for purchase on the market.
Advantages of the tank:
- Unmanned turret, not only allowing survival after a direct hit but also being compact, making it challenging for enemies to hit us; moreover, the rear placement of the turret enables safe play from behind building corners.
- Excellent gun depression angle (-10 degrees).
- An autoloader with a reload time of 5 seconds regardless of crew skill level or condition.
- Outstanding mobility, one of the best at this battle rating; despite there being faster tanks, due to matchmaking specifics, we often face opponents who arrive at positions slower than us, allowing us to disrupt their timings.
- Low silhouette, increasing survivability and reducing visibility; the tank can be concealed in unexpected locations, providing an unpleasant surprise to the enemy.
Of course, there are drawbacks:
- Terrible optics, making sniping less effective, and the thermal vision quality is also poor.
- Very low armor-penetrating capabilities for shells at this battle rating.
- Complete absence of hull armor; even anti-aircraft guns can easily penetrate us. Additionally, with only three crew members, survivability is limited.
In conclusion, this tank is simply outstanding - the combination of its advantages allows us to utilize ANY terrain to our advantage, from urban maps to open hilly fields. In most cases, the enemy only sees our unmanned turret, misses the shot, and heads back to the hangar. Thanks to the autoloader, enemies can be sent to the hangar even in groups; triple kills are not uncommon.
