3Ah yes, Champion Gundyr can be a challenging fight. He hits hard, fast, and is relentless. So how do you go about hitting him with the slowest weapon type in the game? It's a tricky thing, you HAVE to study his move set to have a hope in winning here. If you panic heal, you WILL get hit 9 out of 10 times. Only attempt to heal after a combo is done or after a long recovery frame filled attack.
Phase 2 is where it gets hard, he has a grab which does a good amount of damage, simply roll away to dodge it. He gets even more aggressive in phase 2 so be very selective when you heal here. Blocking can work but I wouldn't recommend it as a main strategy unless you have a greatshield, and even then it's not exactly easy to do with his constant stamina draining. Honestly, as trite and ignorant as it sounds.. this is a "git gud" fight. Or summon someone like me.. (please)
