Chang'e 4 lands on the Far Side of the Moon
The Chinese National Space Agency announced that they have successfully landed a spacecraft on the far side of the moon, Chang'e 4. With the relay satellite Queqiao sitting at the Earth-Moon L2 point, it is able to maintain constant communication, and communicate back with Earth.
This is not the first ever landing on the far side of the Moon, which was the Ranger 3 spaceprobe that the US accidentally crashed in to the far side, but it is the first soft landing.
