Change How Long Notifications Stay On The Screen In Windows 11 [Tutorial]

On Windows 11, when an application receives an alert, a toast notification briefly displays in the bottom-left corner of the screen for five seconds before it's directed to Action center. Although five seconds should be more than enough time to understand the message and take action as necessary, if you prefer leaving a notification for a longer period, you can increase the time up to five minutes.

Windows 11 notifications play a significant role when it comes to keeping you informed about what’s happening within the system. Whether it’s an upcoming calendar event, an incoming email message or even detection of a malicious threat, the Windows 11 notifications that pop up in the bottom-right of the screen are your first indication that something needs attention.

By default, pop-up notifications in Windows 11 only stick around for about 5 seconds before they are sent off to the Action Center. If you’d like those notifications to stay on the screen a little longer, it’s an easy change to make. You just have to know where to look for it.

However, the setting to customize this feature isn't easy to find on Windows 11. Instead of using the "Notifications & actions" page, you actually have to perform this task from the "Display" page in the Ease of Access section or modify the Registry.
