Huge discovery I found that makes this speedrun infinitely times more tolerable; skipping the Terodus grind! Normally we would farm to 200 EVO points (ideally getting at least one flashing meat), and get 700 points worth of upgrades after getting the 500pt blue crystal. It turns out only 500 EVO points and a different set of upgrades gives you the same stats (+ 1exp in jumping) minus 1 tackle point. This video demonstrates this route to be faster than all other scenarios, besides getting 2 flashing meats immediately. The 2 meats route is not very realistic because getting 2 flashing meats in a row is highly rare; I couldn't even get it with 20 minutes of grinding, but it will be a few seconds faster if the gods of luck rain upon you.
