The One Who Is Like Thunder reveals that even if they liberate the Land Of Moon, two problems remain, The Eyes Of Mutually Assured Destruction and The Spirit Of The Heart. The Eyes Of Mutually Assured Destruction supposedly controls people by exploiting any weakness or despair in their souls. The One Who Belongs to the Moon reveals that no one in the Land of The Moon could resist. The Wind asks why the Refined Heart used the One Who Belongs To The Moon when she isn’t weak. The One Who Belongs to the Moon reveals that her disinterest in becoming the Chief Of The Land of The Moon, her detest for the hereditary system and the customs of the Land Of The Moon were exploited. Apparently, this darkness in her soul was what the Refined Heart exploited. The Young Thunder reveals that everyone harbours such weaknesses and it is no shock that she was unable to resist. The One Who is Like Thunder suggests that they need to find a way to silence the Eyes Of Mutually Assured Destruction. The Wind suggests using the Scent Of The Moon (Good job! Now you’re thinking, nothing like the good ol’ Reflectga Spell to solve this issue). The One Who Belongs to the Moon reveals that the Scent Of The Moon takes a long time to prepare, time they don’t have (hey hey, the Moon is all about time don’tcha know?).
The Scarecrow suggests that the simplest thing to do is defeat the caster of the Technique. (Anticlimactic, talk about another game of whack a mole! You guys just don’t get what it takes to kill a Hydra do you?) The Wind sees this solution as the simplest.
The One Who Is Like Thunder tells them that the Spirit Of The Heart is going to make that goal difficult. The Spirit Of The Heart apparently was a Seed the Leaf Shadow Organization stole. Apparently it is an artificial plant demon that the Leaf Shadow Organization were secretly trying to make (are these guys actually the bad guys?). Apparently, just when they were about to succeed the Third Flame Shadow shut them down and stored the Spirit of The Heart in the Hemmed Hall. (Talk about nearly sabotaging your Fate. Good thing it was stored and not destroyed). The Wind asks whether the Spirit Of The Heart is really dangerous. (Oh, the punchline is they don’t get its significance but can deduce its degree of danger from the Leaf Shadow Organization’s obsession with it). The One Who Is Like Thunder assembles a Com(bat) Group. (Good job! Another way to beat the Eyes Of Mutually Assured Destruction is to learn to sense your surroundings like a Bat! Aww Bats, Bats, Bats, Fruit Bats, Vampire Bats and all other Bats).
The One Who Belongs to the Moon decides to go with the 7th Team. The Cherry Blossoms are concerned for her health, she admits that she can’t fight but might be useful as a guide (Good job! Meanwhile battles break out all over the place. All of this is to cause the Team to lose time by heading towards Byakko instead of Seiryuu where they can buy time.
