Chase HQ - MAME4DROID
4The original arcade version of Chase HQ running on my phone in MAME4DROID, controlled using my 8bitdo mini Bluetooth controller. This is just on the arcade's default difficulty (i.e very strict time, lots of traffic in true coin-op credit gobbler fashion). I love this game, I think it's actually my joint favourite 2D sprite based racer next Outrun.
It actually handles fairly well using my teeny tiny pad. Unlike some of the other MAME4DROID videos I've uploaded, I turned the pad HUD overlay off in this.
Man, that 4th stage boss car was proving to be such a fucker to take down... Luckily the 5th stage guy went down pretty easily after the L.A. Kidnapper gave me so much grief. I'm pretty sure in the home versions the damage you did to the boss car carried through when you used a credit, but here, in true old school arcade difficulty fashion, you've got to start from scratch with each continue AND catch them up again first.
