Welcome to Game Hacking 207, the 13th video in the GHS Hacking Series!

Article: https://guidedhacking.com/threads/cheat-engine-floats-defense-damage-boost-gh207.19341/

In this video, we show how to successfully make a Cheat Engine script that MULTIPLIES the damage dealt to ALL enemies and bosses and DIVIDES ALL damage dealt to the player!

Specifically, we cover the following topics:

1. How to use XMM registers to multiply, divide, add, and subtract DAMAGE
2. How to use the "break-on-address-access" debugger to see MORE instructions that can help you find the PERFECT location to inject new code
3. Explanation of the difference between READ and WRITE instructions
4. How a CPU and Random Access Memory work together to "run" games
5. How the CPU finds and updates values in memory
6. Explanation of what BRACKETS around registers actually mean

If you don’t have Cheat Engine or if you’re brand new to Cheat Engine / Game Hacking, we recommend watching the GHS series from the beginning
https://guidedhacking.com/forums/game-hacking-shenanigans/

We’re using Jedi Fallen Order as an example to hack HEALTH and DAMAGE, but what we show in the video works with MANY more games and with many things besides HEALTH and DAMAGE!

Keep in mind that not every game works the same, and we specifically chose Jedi Fallen Order for this video because it's beginner friendly (we choose more difficult games later as the series progresses) so things might not work exactly the same as you see it in the video if you’re trying on a different game.
For this reason, we recommend you practice either on the game shown, or you can download one of the following FREE games to practice on:
AssaultCube - https://assault.cubers.net/download.html
Cube 2 Sauerbraten - http://sauerbraten.org/

And that’s everything this time around! We hope you enjoyed the video!

BUT while division with XMM registers is relatively simple, division with INTEGERS is far less intuitive (and more complicated). So, if you looking to divide any integer values in a game, you should definitely check out GH208 as soon as it comes out! (HINT: Subscribing to Guided Hacking's Youtube Channel, hitting the bell, and turning Youtube Notifications on will ensure you NEVER miss any of our future videos ;)

Thanks so much for watching! We’ll see you again real soon!
