checking out the new Dune: Imperium board game
11An overview of the Dune: Imperium game from Dire Wolf and a single-take live play-through of a couple rounds so you can see how the mesh of deck-building and worker placement functions. If you liked Clank! (or any other deck-builder) and a bit of Stone Age or Agricola (or other worker placement game), you might like this peanut-butter-and-chocolate combo that plays so very well. Great player tension and balance and interesting choices to make along the multiple paths to victory. Control the spice, control the universe!

For example, I mentioned the Mentat space (it functions like a freelance extra agent for one turn and gives you a card draw) and that it cost 5 solari (money) to go there. normally this space costs 2 solari, but I'm playing solo on a slightly more difficult setting.
In solo play, the bots ("Rivals") don't have to pay costs to go to spaces on the board and may get reduced rewards. all human players do have to pay any costs and get the full rewards.
