Cher - Prisoner CD + The Magic Collection (Prisoner Remixed) CD UNBOXING
Prisoner is the 16th studio album by American singer-actress Cher, released on October 22, 1979 by Casablanca Records.
Prisoner (initially planned to be released under the title Mirror Image) was Cher's second album of 1979, and was released nine months after Take Me Home.
This was the last album of Cher's to date to be produced by Bob Esty, with Esty and Michelle Aller contributing several of the songs. Compared to the disco style of Take Me Home, Prisoner featured a relatively new wave sound.
Prisoner also marked the first time that Cher released an official music video to promote a single "Hell on Wheels" this was before the inception of MTV.
The song mixes in "The Magic Collection" (Prisoner Remixed) are all different than the versions on "Prisoner." It's like listening to a different album.
You can also find remixes of "Prisoner" in the following titles:
- Outrageous CD (UK 1991)
- Boys and Girls (Germany 1993)
- Holdin' Out For Love (Czech Republic & Slovakia 1993)
- Prisoner (Music Mirror/ Switzerland 1993)
- Prisoner (Music Reflexion/ Germany 1994)
