Chibi-Robo: Plug into Adventure (Blind) - Episode 24: Stop! In the Name of Love!
0In today's episode of the "Chibi-Robo!" playthrough, we get the bird sticker, watch Mort win Princess Pitts' heart by saving her from one of Sunshine's rampages, and get tasked with Sunshine to grow him an ultimate nectar flower so he can turn his life around.
In today's video, we get to finish two sets of questlines: the one with that annoying jerk bluebird that blocks your path to the roof, which we do by giving him the eggplant that we got from Kid Eggplant, and the one for Mort and Princess Pitts, which has one of my favorite endings. Sure, Mort and Princess Pitts' questline for the most part isn't as good as the one for the Free Rangers, but it more than makes up for it with how both absurd and enjoyable the final cutscenes are- especially if you're playing the game blind.
Picture this: you enter Jenny's room to see what Princess Pitts is up to after training her to tolerate Mort, only to be greeted by the sight of Sunshine attacking the castle/dresser/clock while dramatic music plays and he yells about how "sweetie bear needs nectar". So- actually, no. It would be a disservice to you to spoil the cutscene right here in the description, but let's just say that this isn't a good day for Drake Redcrest.
I know that these cutscenes aren't the greatest moments in gaming history, but with how the game made me so invested in these characters for reasons I can't put my finger on, I really enjoyed them. Though this doesn't truly mark the end of Mort and Princess Pitts' story, as we learn the hard way when I accidentally press "A" near Mort's sarcophagus when picking up some trash in a later episode.
