Chiki Chiki Boys Intro (Genesis)
Chiki Chiki Boys was initially an arcade game released for the CPS-1 board by Capcom in 1990. When released for arcades in the US, it was called Mega Twins. The game is about two 15-year-old boys who set out to find a legendary stone called Dragon Blue Eyes to restore their destroyed kingdom, Alurea. This Genesis version of the game was co-developed by Sega and Visco, as Capcom had exclusive development rights for Nintendo at the time of this port's release (1993).
The game is a platformer comprised of nine stages. Players can pick whichever beginning stage out of the first three that they want to tackle first, but after the initial three stages are played in a certain order, the rest of the game proceeds to play out in a linear manner.
Players have access to screen-clearing magic bombs, such as the "bound" power which sends out multiple bouncy balls ricocheting around the screen to beat enemies. Each twin also has a sword, though the first player character has a stronger melee attack, while the second player character can carry more magic bombs at a time. The game, at least the arcade version, can be played in 2-player mode. The Genesis version is 1-player only, though.
